15 Months

Life is crazy around our house with an almost 15-month-old as we anxiously await the arrival of Santa and Caroline's baby sister...all within the next 3-4 weeks...yikes! Here are a few of our favorite pictures of her of late. These days Caroline is goofy and adventurous and loves climbing, dancing, stacking, opening and emptying drawers, being outside, balls, anything she can throw/knock down/make noise with or bang on and bubbles...especially in her bath. She's loving Christmas music and is fascinated by the trees, lights and ornaments.

"Down"

Our little girl has become quite sassy and ever the goofball these days. Here's a taste of our evenings after dinner and bathtime. Climbing, also known as her most favorite activity, is oh-so entertaining to her parents and combined with her new use of the terms "up" and "down" makes for lots of laughter around our house.

Halloween

Caroline had a ball dressing up for Halloween and loved being a fairy. Thanks to her friend Riley for loaning her the adorable costume.

13 Months

Hi to our blog followers and our apologies for the lack of recent postings. Caroline is a busy, busy girl these days who loves her new chair, emptying drawers, climbing (gasp!) the furniture, being outside, Sesame Street, dancing, clapping and showing you everything she's learning--most importantly where yours and hers are (nose, ears, eyes, bellybutton, etc.). Although she has absolutely NO idea she is soon to be blessed with a baby sister, she is very curious of the activities around preparing our new nursery and will most definitely think we've added a new playroom for her before long. Here are some recent pictures of Caroline. Our subject is much less predictable these days and much too busy to happily pose for pictures. With that said, more and better pictures to come....

Caroline is 1

Turning "1" was really fun for all of us this week. After her 12-month check up at the pediatrician and a nap, the birthday girl celebrated a day late with family at our house and loved (almost) every minute of it. What's a 1st Birthday without icing all over the face, a few tears of overstimulation, enjoying the ribbons off gifts more than what was inside and going to bed with cake and icing in her hair? We're so proud to be parents of a 1-year-old! Thanks for cousin Sara for the great pictures.

Almost a 1-Year Old

Here are a few pictures from the past week of Caroline. As we approach her first birthday (next week) we are continually amazed at what a big girl she has become over the past couple of months. Definitely an active toddler, we spend our time amused by her energy, silly sounds and new imitations.

At the Beach

We had a great long weekend in Rockport and Caroline has proven to be quite the beach girl. Here are a few highlights from the trip. Here was her favorite spot at the house....the shell beach along the water. She spent most the weekend pointing to go outside to dig for shells and watch the waves and loved walking up and down the sidewalk to the water.

Her favorite beach food....noodles! We think she liked the audience that cheered her on while she ate her noodles just as much.

Whee! She loves holding your hands while she walks...especially when she gets to fly along the way.

Always a little inquisitive about the beach when we would arrive. After a few minutes of taking in the sights, she loved pointing at seagulls, digging in the sand and walking in the water.

CC Walking

Here is a little sample of the things we enjoy. Arf is what a doggy says, you can see our crawling has gotten faster, there is a short sample of what we call the "knee walk", followed by a sample of our Frankenstein walk, with a interpretive dance to wrap it all up.

Almost 11 Months

Caroline is a very busy girl these days. Her favorite activities include taking every book off of her bookshelves, flipping through each one and tossing them on the floor, dumping the dog's water bowl over and splashing in the puddles she created, watching Sesame Street and squealing with joy over the intro song and any scene with Elmo, practicing walking, babbling up a storm with sounds ranging from whispers to full out shrieks, "kissy kissy" on the lips, "biting" with her new top teeth (yikes!), feeding herself...especially blueberries, strawberries, kiwi, peaches and "na nas," pushing things all over the house (bar stools, toys, etc.), clapping and climbing in and out of your lap. It's been such a fun month for us as we've watched her discover new things around the house, take her first steps and practice new sounds.

10 Months

Please forgive us for the way late post on Caroline's 10th month. Between losing the camera cord to upload the pictures and everything in between, this month has flown by. Here are a few of our favorite pictures from the past few weeks of our little goof ball. She's truly a nut....making us laugh at something new each and every day. These days she loves, loves, loves the dogs, practicing walking and standing solo with push toys, any and all fruit, giving "kissy kissies," "Elmo" and crusing all over the house.

4th of July

We spent the 4th of July at the lake with family and Caroline loved playing with her cousin Sarita, and splash time in both the lake and the baby pool.

Caroline's new baby pool has been lots of fun so far and we desperately hope our drought and water restrictions don't put an end to this summer activity!

Caroline - 9 1/2 Months

Here's what we've been up to this summer...holding pose before bedtime, enjoying her baby pool in the backyard, snack time with the dogs, playing with shoe laces after our morning walk and showing off her 2 new teeth!

Rockport

Here are a few pictures from our trip to Rockport last weekend. Caroline had a ball at the beach and loved the sand, waves, a snowcone and visit to the golf course to watch her dad, uncle Adam and "P" finish up their round in Port Aransas.
