Caroline-3 Months

SO....in short, we promise to become better bloggers in 2009. We have to admit the whole concept is new to us, but after just 3 short months of following our friends blogs and occasionally adding new pictures of Caroline to ours, we've got the itch to get serious about it and are committed to sharing our joy with friends and family. Until then, enjoy our newest pics. Caroline is more fun by the day. We can't get enough of her smiles and giggles and love watching her discover new sights and sounds. We think she'll be rolling over in the next week or so and know that will be just the beginning of her new mobility....uh-oh!

Caroline-2 Months

2 months old and growing....over 12 pounds already and full of smiles, coo's, pouty lip's and new sounds and faces. Sleeping "most" of the night these days and enjoying the fall weather, her swing, music and mobiles.

Caroline-7 Weeks

7 weeks old and weighing in at 12 pounds after a visit to the doctor. Enjoying short naps, watching Longhorn games with my G & P and taking in all the new sights and sounds. I've found my voice and now know how to pout and shout when hungry.

Caroline-2 Weeks

Here are some pictures of me during my 2nd week. This week I went on my first walks (rides) in my stroller. I went to the doctor and had to get my heel pricked and a shot in my thigh. I hardly cried and learned that I am back to my birth weight and right on track gaining an ounce a day. I found my thumb this week and each day my hair stands up in different directions more and more. My mom and dad think they are starting to figure out me and my many sounds....

Baby Caroline is doing great at home. She sleeps more every night, eats more everyday, and changes all the time.

Bath Time. . .

Caroline had a great second night of her life. She has been really good so far. Not a lot of crying for fussing yet, I am sure we will get our share. She has been sleeping all morning. We are having a great time watching her and studying her face.
She also had a photo op with her cousin Sarita last night. Please refrain from forwarding these pics to modeling agencies. We are not ready for the media storm just yet. We will be going home today so wish us luck.

WEIGHT CORRECTION:

Caroline was first listed as a 8.5 pound prize fighter. The judges demanded a re-weigh and she is now listed as 9.11 pound champ. She was the biggest baby born at Methodist on her delivery day.

The scale in the delivery room was a little suspect and Caroline was not cooperating with the whole sit still idea. They did a re-weigh the same night and they came to break the news to us. We thought she was heavier than 8.5 but we would not have guessed 9.11 . Caroline donated her cord blood and the nurse said it was the largest donation they have had in a good period of time. It is enough to serve two infants in need or one adult. Caroline was proud.
